
| Tim Mair - Timothy started singing and dancing when he was still wearing diapers. Along with his brothers he studied dance locally with Paula Sever. He learned piano from LeAnna Wilmore and later his mother, Gaye Johnson. At Bonneville High School he played Doody in the musical Grease as a sophomore and was active in drama for all three years of high school lettering in drama each year. Junior and Senior year he sang with Tapestry and the Concert Choir lettering in music both years and received a two plus rating and a one rating at state solo and ensemble competition his junior and senior years respectively. While at Bonneville, Tim started the singing group Duo2 which later became Audiocean. Upon graduating from Bonneville High he went to Southern Utah University and received much recognition particularly for his performance as Il Marito in the opera Amelia Goes to the Ball which helped him win the award for best male vocalist from the music department that year. Tim left for an LDS mission in 1992 and upon returning transferred to Weber State University. He founded the vocal group, Vocal Junction, who performed throughout the Wasatch front. He has performed in plays locally since then and had many solo singing opportunities. He now directs the Sing Out Young Children’s Choruses and teaches beginning voice lessons. He writes many songs from many popular genres as well as choral and orchestral pieces when he has the time. Tim recently released his first album, Outside, showcasing his popular music. Prior to the Pirates of Penzance sing-in he played the role of Sipos in Village Green’s production of She Loves Me. He is the director and composer of the A'olian modes a classically based sextet and is working on the Chor West Project, a community chorus for adults. |
